This podcast is to teach creatives, like you, to become more tech savvy. So if you’re a writer, an author or a blogger for example, then you’re in the right place.

It’s also especially not a podcast for millennial’s. If you’ve grown up with tech then you’ll know what the cloud is, you’ll know how to use dropbox, you’ll know how to teach yourself a new app or create a podcast for example. But if you’re a little bit older than that and you didn’t grow up with computers in your job or in your family, than trying to understand them to start your own business as a creative is really hard.

If you’re wanting to be a professional writer and publish that book inside of you, you will need to understand what app to write in is best for you, how are you going to format it how you are going to upload to all the various online ebook retailers (if you choose to self publish), and then especially important is how are you going to monetise that book.  How do you market it, how do you set up your social media and send out social posts on autopilot. Knowing how to schedule them rather than manually go in every single post at the best time to post will get exhausting.

Being more Tech Savvy can help remove the busywork that you will end up doing and I can help you remove the frustration of not knowing what the hell to do.

We are still in a pandemic and, speaking for myself, I'm not as young as I once was. So my brain and body are moving at a slower pace than when I was 20. I've been learning how to structure my work and life differently to be able to work at my pace - and get things done.

Tips for your To Do List:

  • Plan your day
    • I usually check my calendar the night before to be clear what I'm working and what appointments I  have.
    • I never let anyone book with me within 24hrs of their booking.  Time to prepare is essential.
  • Use one Calendar for all your appointments and reminders
    • It can be a bit of a juggle if you spread your appointments, to do's and reminders across multiple apps/calendars.
  • Use a Project Management Tool
    • I could not live without mine. All my projects, content creation, online courses etc are all planned into my project management tool so I can see easily what I'm working on this week and when it's due.
  • Start with accepting you just need to get 1 thing done.
    • It really is a mindset shit to get just one thing done and off your list. You will feel amazing.

As we get a little older and are living through the uncertain times of 2022 don't be hard on yourself. Just do what you can do and recognise that how to get things done is going to be different. Don't be afraid of the 'different'.

I recommend setting any automation up before you have scaled to allow you to ‘tweak’ your process before you really need it.
In this episode I’ll discuss 3 simple automations to help you save time in your daily processes:

1. Send an Email from your inbox to a SmartSuite To Do action item
2. Send a Calendar booking from your Google calendar to a SmartSuite To Do action item
3. Create an invoice in Xero from a sale made in Kajabi and collected via Stripe

All these automations have in common is Make as the integration tool.

]]> Let’s chat about how easy it is to get started with Automations that can help you scale your business.
I recommend setting any automation up before you have scaled to allow you to ‘tweak’ your process before you really need it.
In this episode I’ll discuss 3 simple automations to help you save time in your daily processes:

1. Send an Email from your inbox to a SmartSuite To Do action item
2. Send a Calendar booking from your Google calendar to a SmartSuite To Do action item
3. Create an invoice in Xero from a sale made in Kajabi and collected via Stripe

All these automations have in common is Make as the integration tool.
